P4/5 playing Arbroath

The Minis were accompanied by the newly-formed Arbroath Rhinos for a joint training session. The players were led by coaches from both clubs and, after focusing on core skills, the session ended in a range of friendly matches.

Training Cancelled - Too Cold!

Despite the sunny weather, it is bitterly cold this morning. We have therefore decided to cancel training this week.

Next Sunday, we have a joint training session at 10.00 with Arbroath visiting Union Park.

Calling all P4/5s - Saturday 20th February

Montrose Minis have been asked to put on a match at half-time during the Montrose vs Arbroath senior match this weekend. This will be at Union Park and between Montrose P4/5 and Arbroath P4/5. Could you please let Caroline know if you are available on Saturday.

The senior match stats at 3pm so, if you arrive by then, there should be plenty time for a warm up etc. Family and friends are more than welcome to come along to support.

Race Night

There is a Race Night to be held on the 27th March 2010 at Hillside Hall. Tickets cost £8 each person and this includes a two course supper.

We do not have a drinks licence so please bring your own refreshments although there will be a glass of complimentary wine with your meal.

Those wishing to sponsor any races at a cost of £20 please contact the above. Sponsors will be highlighted throughout the evening for their generosity.

Any donations of wine for prizes would be gratefully accepted before the evening.

Horses can be bought beforehand at £2.00 each so if you can't come on the night why not support the Club by buying a few horses and hopefully winning a prize.

The Blairgowrie match for everyone ( P1 to P7) has been cancelled due to the weather.
We will be training as normal at Union Park for everyone. 10.00 to 11.30

Due to the frosty weather, today's training has been cancelled.

Blairgowrie and Carnoustie at Montrose

Good hands from the micros !

P4/5 against Blairgowrie.

Last Sunday (29.11.9) saw about 150 children from Blairgowrie, Carnoustie and Montrose taking part in rugby at Montrose.

We played teams at all levels from P1 to S2 in what must have been the coldest day of the year so far!

We managed to field two teams at micros, two teams at P4/5 , one team at P6/7 with a combined side made up from all 3 teams also at P6/7.

Well done to everyone for taking part and a huge thank you to the ladies in the clubhouse for keeping us warm.

Training Cancelled Today

Due to the weather, we have decided to cancel Minis training this morning.

Next week is a mini tournament at Union Park with Carnoustie and Blarigowrie. Hopefully, it will have dried up by then...

Montrose Juniors at Murrayfield - The Evidence!

For those that didn't make it, here are some photos and video from the Edinburgh vs Munster match. You will see the Montrose players forming part of the Guard of Honour as Robbie comes out with Scotland Captain Mike Blair and the rest of the Edinburgh team.

Due to the rain and the forecast for yet more rain, we have taken the decision to cancel rugby training for Micros, P4/5s and P6/7s.
